Digicel names new senior vice-president

Digicel PNG has announced the appointment of Lorna McPherson as new senior vice-president and chief sales officer.
A company spokesperson said McPherson had spent many years in PNG and was not new to the people, culture and market.
“Lorna does not need much introduction,” the spokesperson said.
“She has been an integral part of building Digicel PNG and the overall group’s position globally.
“Lorna will commence this new position as senior vice-president effective immediately. Her knowledge of PNG and global experience will bring invaluable direction to the PNG market.
“With Apec months away, the timing was right to inject a person of her caliber fulltime into PNG.”
McPherson said she was happy to be back to PNG for another fulltime position.
“I am looking forward to delivering real outcomes and build on our achievements,” she said.
