Digicel upgrades data plans

DIGICEL has launched a major upgrade of its data plans purchase menu for its prepaid subscribers.
Digicel says it would make it quicker and simpler for customers to buy plans, with more choice.
The company this week launched a new set of data plans accessed via the *777# USSD menu.
The new plan sizes range from 60MBs to 13GBs, with users able to choose how much data they need and how long they would want the data for – one, seven or 30-day passes. Digicel customers will be able to choose whether they want their plans to be renewed automatically.
Digicel managing director Mobile Shivan Bhargava said the process of selecting data plans was now much simpler, allowing customers to purchase a data plan, check or top up their balance or renew their plan.
“The *777# menu is very easy to navigate and prompts the customer to first choose how much data they want and then how long they want to access the data for,” Bhargava said.
