Disciplined forces

TO add to The National’s editorial opinion on Aug 3 on the training of soldiers and police officers, I say the recruitment phase of our disciplined forces is not right.
The recruitment policies should change.
The selection panel should consider high or outstanding education qualifications as the main criteria.
Only intellectuals should be recruited and trained so they can uphold the various roles and responsibilities in the different forces.
