District first to receive DSIP funds

NAWAEB will be the first electorate to receive its 2014 District Services Infrastructure Programme (DSIP) funds.
Finance Minister James Marape made the commitment to Nawaeb MP and Education Vice-Minister Gisuwat Siniwin after receiving their 2013 acquittals.
“Within the next week, the Nawaeb electorate will be the first in 2014 to receive its DSIP funds,” he said.
Siniwin said he believed in being transparent in the dealings with his people’s money and commended his Joint District Priority and Budget Priority Committee for an excellent job.
He indicated that a major slice of the money was spent on education and roads.
“This is reward for the great stewardship shown by the Nawaeb MP and his JDP&BPC,” Marape said.
