Division gets K20,000

THE Moresby South Rugby League’s women’s division received K20,000 from Northbuild Construction during the season launching last week.
Company owner Graham Boddington said the donation was to complement the continuing developments initiated by Moresby South MP Justin Tkatchenko.
“The minister approached me about supporting women’s rugby league and I’ve got three daughters and the minister’s got daughters and I immediately jumped on board,” he said.
“It’s an initiative by the minister and since he’s already delivered markets and police stations, I felt that I could come on board because I have confidence in Moresby South that if I made a donation, I know that the money would be spent properly.
Meanwhile, Tkatchenko said the donation from Northbuild would be used to further promote women’s rugby league and women in sports.
