Divorce Act

Letters

CONGRATULATIONS to Constitutional Law Reform Commission (CLRC) Secretary Dr Eric Kwa for his announcement of the Divorce Act.
Thank you for protecting the future privileges and rights of our wives, mothers and daughters to possess the balance of powers in a family.
This is for greater stability, mutual cooperation, and total respect between married couples for family prosperity.
However, Earth is not Heaven, and every human being is subjected to sin or do make mistakes in life.
Historically, females are vulnerable to sin, meaning they do breach laws.
As per the media from the CLRC secretary, women are sinless and never have any extra-marital affairs or commit adultery.
What if a married woman is found having extra marital affair and seeking for divorce?
Will she be given 50 per cent of assets?
The Act should give equal consideration and value to both parties.
The rethinking cap approach is: The act is written and amended purposely to protect our girls, wives and mothers’ rights and privileges in future from coerce and abuse.
But it doesn’t give girls supreme power to supersede all things.
As per the natural law, the greatest of all laws states that God created man first – giving him the power to rule.
That means that power over, not power to.
Therefore, faithfulness is the answer to peace and family stability.
