Do proper research

The idea of phasing out grade 8 and 10 exams will definitely degrade the academic levels and achievements of our children.
Unless the Government has a workable replacement on assessments standardisation, this won’t work.
External exams are standardised summative testing set to weigh out students’ capacity and capabilities from their level in educational settings.
It also challenges the students’ personal understanding and
perceptions on what had been taught.
The results signify the power of achievement and the natural law on “survival of the fittest” in terms of struggling and obedience in all areas of education.
Should the government wish to phase out grade 8 and 10 exams, then proper research must be done with concrete results.
