Double appointment

 AIR Niugini has appointed Simon Yanum as its Rabaul area manager and Lae sales manager, chief executive Simon Foo has announced.

Yanum replaces Peter Dokta, who will now head the airline’s sales office in Lae.

“Yanum was airport manager in Rabaul,” Foo said.

“He has been with Air Niugini for 17 years and is not new to this role as he looked after other ports previously, including Kavieng, Wewak and Rabaul,” Foo said. 

 “Dokta has worked with Air Niugini for nine years. 

“His previous jobs have been in the areas of government and corporate liaison and also as regional manager for New Guinea Islands. 

“He has also acted as port manager on relieving basis for Madang, Manus and Gurney.”
