Dragons burn up opposition 5-2

STARLAND Dragons beat QPR-Eda Ranu 5-2 in the Telikom Pennants golf competition’s seventh round at the Royal Port Moresby Golf Club yesterday.
Dragons’ Steven Hsiung, Roz Taufa, David Tan, James Voon, Roger Ng, Andy Ng and Max Tan starred in their win over their opposition Bobby Hoto, John Cholai Jr, Peter Mughkerhell, Nick Kuman, Steven Geroge, Esther Jouma and Madibood Rahman in that order.
The winners’ best of the day was Hsuing’s 7-5 over Rahman.
In the other results, Telikom Heli Solutions edged the Constantinou Group 4-3, with Monique Beange voted the best player.
Ela Motors beat Bank South Pacific with the same scores (4-3), with Ela Motors’ Colin Crain outstanding on the day. It was a draw between SCAL Mirupasi and AP Engineering and the same with More Than Oil and Kumho Tyres, with Clark Kuliniasi impressive on the day.
The Telikom PNG best winner was Beange over Anita Ani 8-6.
The next round is on August 14, with five more rounds to go before the competition winds up.
