TWO men charged with break and enter of Hogi Trading at Manu Autoport in Port Moresby had their case in the Waigani Committal Court adjourned to April 17 yesterday by Magistrate Tracy Ganai.
Aleni Demaya, 33, of Nupulu, Lufa and Kevin Knox, 30, of Ambosoka village, Asaro, are both from Eastern Highlands.
It was alleged that on March 9 between 1.30am and 3am Demaya, Knox and other accomplices entered the shop using oxy cut equipment.
On entry, Demaya and Knox with the others proceeded to steal liquor, clothes, mobile phones, watches, boom boxes and K800 in cash.
They also broke into the manager’s office and stole a five-round revolver and CCTV monitor.
Alarm was raised by one of the shop’s security guards, prompting Demaya, Knox and others to escape the scene.
Police arrested Demaya and Knox in a grey Subaru at Morata and handed them over to the Boroko Police Station. Demaya and Knox admitted the offence.
