DWU yet to make known its stand

I REFER to the letter “Time to make a stand” (April 27) by “DWU patriots”.
I would like to thank the concerned students for signing against the Maladina amendment.
The elites of this nation must do something on behalf of the silent majority of the people and stop such actions by our so-called MPs and top bureaucrats.
We have seen several tertiary institutions around the country making their stand against the Maladina amendment.
However, the DWU students have yet to make their stand public.
I call on the student representatives to wake up and find out what is the stand of DWU students on this issue.
Stop sleeping and get cracking. We cannot play catch-up always.
