Brown Eagles belted Saints 13-2 in the A grade game in the Port Moresby softball competition last Sunday.
After their 8-nil loss to United Brothers last weekend, the Eagles managed to convert their opportunities into runs to grab the much-needed two competition points.
Saints beat Gazelle 6-2 to win last weekend but they did not have the same zeal to take on Eagles last Sunday.
Eagles’ representative players in pitcher Kolis Pagal and backstop Graham Kinivai improved their game from last week and ensured that the opposing players do not steal bases.
In the other match, Yokomo edged PNG Power 1-0.
Yokomo proved too strong for Bears, who were also fighting hard as a strong team in the competition.
