Eastern Star send in NSL form, pay fee

MILNE Bay-focused Football franchise Eastern Stars FC have confirmed submitting their expression of interest form and registration payment for the 2019 National Soccer League season.
Eastern Stars Football Limited (franchise owner of ESFC ) founder Joseph Ealedona, said after a three-year absence, the club was excited to return to the top domestic competition and thanked Kiriwina Goodenough member and Forest Minister Douglas Tomuriesa for his help.
Ealedona said Tomuriesa had been appointed chairman of the Eastern Stars board with formalities to be completed soon with additional board members.
The board members are Ealedona and Post Courier general manager Frank Genaia.
Ealedona urged Milne Bay leaders and the business community in the province to support the team.
“We pursued this with MP Tomuriesa as we can help lessen the social disorder in Milne Bay by giving our youths hope through activities like elite sport.
“We believe we can make a difference in the province.”
Ealedona said players from Alotau and Samarai Island had been identified and brought in.
“We want to bring them to Port Moresby while a number of players from Port Moresby and those who played in the Eastern Papua Carnival, will also be included.”
The team will begin training today at Ela Beach from 3pm and later move to Bisini when the facilities reopen.
Ealedona urged the Milne Bay community and supporters to back the team when the NSL Southern Conference kicks off on Jan 19.
He said they were also planning on having some of their home games in Alotau.
