A COMMUNITY leader from Angoram district in East Sepik is calling on Electoral Commissioner Andrew Trawen to screen all candidates for the by-election.
The leader, who does not want to be named for security reasons, said some of the intending candidates had cases pending in court.
He said it included candidates for presidents in the five local level governments – Karawari, Angoram, Biwat, Keram and Marenberg.
He said the people of Angoram did not want to go through two by-elections.
