Effective comms vital, says Mokono

EFFECTIVE communication is vital to provide services to Papua New Guineans apart from other utility services, National Housing Corporation (NHC) managing director Henry Mokono says.
Speaking during the signing of an agreement with Telikom PNG Ltd this week, Mokono said communication was a challenge for NHC.
Telikom will now be the corporation’s internet service provider with the signing of a 36-month contract.
“We are signing this agreement with an iconic local brand,” Mokono said.
“About a month ago when I was appointed into the NHC headquarters, there were no telephone lines, no emails all forms of communications were not there.
“It was a challenge for us to communicate in this day and age of corporations and business.
“We need effective communication systems apart from other utility services.”
