THE Kerema Basketball Association will tip-off its pre-season with eight clubs confirmed to compete in the Gulf capital this weekend.
Association president Aisi Aua told The National on Tuesday that the pre-season would bring clubs together for the new season with his executives ready to host the men’s and women’s divisions.
“We thought it would be best to start early with our games so the pre-season will go ahead this weekend with eight clubs confirmed to take part,” he said.
“The association has identified eight clubs that have shown interest to play this year, so we want to use the pre-season to see the numbers in the clubs.
“We will also be looking at the numbers in each division as want to see if teams can come up with the numbers for the men’s and women’s games.
“The pre-season will run for three weeks and we hope to see all clubs coming out during this time, so we can be able to have the pre-season till the end of the March.”
