Ela Motors gives K50,000 to earthquake victims

As part of its corporate social responsibility programme, Ela Motors donated K50,000 to the PNG Earthquake Disaster Relief Appeal.
Chief executive officer of the company Keiichiro Kuwabara, during the presentation, said he was sorry for what had happened to the people in Hela.
He said Japan was also a victim of such disaster and was aware of the situation the people of Hela were in.
Ela Motors national fleet manager Boe Daera said the company had donated eight tons of rice and
1.2 tons of water – all ready to be delivered to the affected areas in Hela.
Hela Governor Philip Undialu said: “Food, water and shelter are critically needed at this point in time, government and other donor partners are looking at long-term restoration of infrastructure but more importantly we should be concentrating on the survival of the people.
Undialu thanked Ela Motors on behalf of the members and the people of Hela.
