ELA Motors yesterday presented seven vehicles to the Papua New Guinea Football Association (PNGFA) to help with logistics during the hosting of the Oceania Football Confederation Champions League group-A fixtures which kick off on Sunday.
The presentation saw company chief executive Keiichiro Kuwabara hand over four Toyota 25-seater buses, two utes and one 15-seater bus to PNGFA general secretary Dimirit Mileng at the Ela Motors Waigani branch.
Mileng said it was a relief for PNGFA as logistics was vital in hosting such tournament. He thanked Ela Motors for its support.
“Thank you so much Ela Motors, you have taken a burden off our shoulders,” Mileng said.
“These vehicles will be used by the local organising committee, the four teams that will be playing and the officials during the event.”
Kuwabara said Ela Motors was proud to support football and that the company was looking forward to continuing such support in the future. The visiting Eastern Suburbs, of New Zealand, and defending champions Hienghene Sport, of New Caledonia, arrive today. Vanuatu’s Galaxy arrived yesterday.
There will be three rounds of double-headers which will played on Sunday, Feb 19 and Feb 22 at the Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby.
