Eleven firms back CRU

CAPITAL Rugby Union (CRU) has announced its sponsors for this season with Pacific Industries among eleven companies on board at Bava Park in Moresby.
Union president Kori Chan said during a presentation on Saturday that Pacific Industries, under its Pepsi brand, had donated over K50,000 in cash and kind to support the competition.
He said other sponsors were BNG Trading, Blue Planet Logistics, Avenel Engineering Services, TWM Group, Rhodes PNG, Tuahava Town, Theodist, Gangloff Consulting, South Pacific Brewery and Pagini Transport.
“We are excited to announce our 11 sponsors for this year,” Chan said.
“This year, we have 10 clubs.
“Normally, we have two rounds of competition.
“But due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we will have only one.
“Another unfortunate result due to the pandemic is that we have cancelled A grade, instead we will have only the open men’s division.”
