ELEX Lahara 600 capped off a successful season in the in the Motu Koita West Netball Association with the club walking away with three titles from the competition’s seven divisions.
Club president Lulu Rex told The National that it was an unprecedented feat with the U15s, U17s and A-Grade bagging titles after Saturday’s grand finals.
Elex managed to make the grand finals in six of the divisions with the mixed, men’s and A-Reserve teams falling short.
“We have three winners from this which were the U15s, U17s and the A-Grade. It’s a privilege for my husband, Peter and I to get behind this family-oriented club in our community,” Rex said.
“The club has been in existence for some years now.
“With the new divisions like the mixed and men’s categories, we’ve been fortunate enough to get everyone involved in the success of our club this season.
“It’s good to have this number of divisions back in the finals.
“I have to give credit back to the members of our community who have been supportive all season.”
She said the recent introduction of the men’s and mixed divisions had lifted the games’ standard.
