Elites give back to their school

Education

EDUCATED elites from a tribe in Western Highlands have given back to a primary school they had all attended.
From Ukuni Moiwo tribe in Mul–Baiyer, the group, led by University of Goroka Vice-Chancellor Dr Teng Waninga, donated a K10,000 and a computer while others came in with their own personal contributions towards the Gag Primary School.
Dr Waninga said this donation was to say thank you to the school for giving them a strong foundation.
“I want to thank the school for raising some of the country’s best human resource in education.”
He said Gag Primary was one of the first primary schools in the province but it had a lot of input in people’s lives.
Dr Waninga said there were many people who had benefited from this school and it was a lesson for the students to learn and study hard.
He said the support towards Gag would also benefit the future generation.
Dr Waninga thanked the people of Ukuni Moiwo for their continuous support towards the school in paying project fees which has seen the completion of a double-classroom worth more than K300,000.
