THE United States Embassy is organising an Earth Day photo competition and is inviting citizens of Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu to participate.

An embassy official said: “Between now and April 22 entrants must email us one original digital photograph they have taken that captures the natural beauty that should be protected and preserved in their respective countries.

“The photographs must express the importance of celebrating Earth Day and should be emailed to [email protected] under the subject line Earth Day Photo Contest.

“All entries will be posted in the Earth Day photo contest album on the embassy’s Facebook page.

“The top three photos with the highest amount of ‘likes’ will receive a digital camera each.

“Please include your full name and contact details with a photo caption describing where and when the photo was taken.

“The winners will be announced on April 26 during the embassy’s annual Earth Day beach clean-up at Ela Beach and on our Facebook page.”
