Emergency calls

Letters

I HAD an emergency and life-threatening situation back home at my village and the only mode of communication available was the mobile phone.
Unfortunately, I had used up my ‘please call me’ and ‘request’ and therefore had zero credit left.
Luckily a relative was close by and we used his phone.
This prompts me to suggest to the mobile companies that 20 toea be used as the final baseline credit rather than a zero credit. This final 20 toea will be used only as a call alert to open communication lines and not as a credit. This means that you cannot completely deplete your credit; 20 toea will always be there to cover for an emergency call. Hope this make some sense.
