SOME of the rising rugby league stars from Goroka will play for EMP Brothers in the Ipatas Cup challenge in Lae this weekend.
Players and officials with supporters gathered at Emo village on Tuesday to finalise arrangements before they travel the Highlands Highway to Lae yesterday.
Supporters and family members of the players and officials wished them luck for their games in Lae and urged them to play well and bring pride to the province.
Rugby league star Garnet Auwo and Thomas Kumgi will lead the young charges in their first match tomorrow with the finals on Sunday.
Auwo said Brothers were a new club and determined to do their best to be included in this year’s Goroka rugby league town competition.
He said some young stars to watch out for were  Haiki Gideon, John Auwo, Owa Eddie and Kennedy Homate.
Experienced players to lead the young boys would be Auwo, Charlie Smith, Kumgi, Thomas Irai, Nathan Homate and Johnson Alele.
