Ency: Have faith in God

Education

ENCY Tom Ten believes that nothing is impossible to those who have faith in God.
Ten, whose parents are from Hela and Western Highlands, believed that God would help her despite not securing an offer after Grade 12 at the Kitip Secondary School in 2008.
She flew to Port Moresby and attended the Waigani Christian School as a teacher’s aid from 2009 to 2011.
In 2012, Ten was accepted to pursue a diploma in primary teaching at the Melanesian Nazarene Teachers College.
She graduated in 2013.
In 2014, she started teaching at the Ororo Primary School. Ten then got accepted at University of Goroka in 2019.
The 33-year-old mother of two recently graduated with a bachelor in education primary from the University of Goroka.
“It has always been my aim to become a full-time teacher and that has finally come to pass,” Ten said, thanking God and her family for the support.
She also thanked her two sons for being strong for her.
Ten’s advice to young people who wish to further their studies is that education will only end when one dies.
