THE Enga Mioks will have a pre-season team ready by the end of this month with training to start on the first week of February, franchise manager Sam Koi says.
Koi said the club had already selected players for its initial squad and were waiting on the confirmation of Andrew Andiki as head coach for the 2021 Digicel Cup season.
“We are still trying to secure the services of our coach, Andiki Andrew, who has his own way of selecting payers so we should begin preseason training by February,” he said.
Koi said they completed the second district origin where all the districts participated in the games.
Following the origin, the Enga challenge saw the completion of the pool games during the weekend and a selection for the Mioks squad to be made after the playoffs.
“We should have the playoffs for Enga which more or less the selection that we are still waiting on,” he said.
“Probably by the end of the month, we’ll have the selection for our local boys.”
Koi said the Mioks did not have the funds to start preparations this month but they would be starting pre-season training with the confirmation of their head coach.
