School boys to play trial match

THE National Capital District Schools Rugby League has confirmed a trial match for the Under-18 boy’s division that will be played in Moresby South next month.
League president Arnold Gende said the announcement of the trial match would see selected players split into two squads — probables and possible — to play the curtain raiser for the Port Moresby Vipers and the Southern Blacks fixture.
“It is my pleasure to announce that the NCDSRL’s 2020/2021 season has seen our selection of an U18 boys train-on squad for possibles and the probables teams,” he said.
Gende said the match would also be used to attract school-aged players and show that the league can combine sports and school.
