Enga needs progress, not politics

Letters, Normal

Enga has five open members of parliament and one regional MP. It is very lucky to have Don Polye as the deputy prime minister and minister for works and transport.
With him in the National Alliance are Sam Abal (foreign minister), Philip Kikala (vice-minister for national planning) and Miki Kaeok.
The other two MPs are from the People’s Party led by its leader and Enga Governor Peter Ipatas and John Pundari (mining minister).
The bottom line is all the Engan MPs are in the government side.
As such, can they humble themselves by serving the people? They must sit together and plan for the development, progress and prosperity of Enga.
We need the road from Mt Hagen to Wabag upgraded and sealed.
People in the rural areas are dying from curable diseases. Fresh fruits and vegetables are rotting away because of no access.
The long list goes on.
If they want to play politics, do it when parliament is in session.
Otherwise, plan and deliver to make Enga the leading province in the highlands and PNG.
