Ensure PMVs follow rules

Letters

THERE is daylight robbery going on with PMVs operating in Port Moresby.
On the ATS route, they charge K2 instead of K1.
School children are forced to pay K2 when they should be paying 50 toea.
I witnessed a lot of times when bus crews demand full fare regardless of passengers’ age.
On two buses – route 6 and 15 – you have a couple of juveniles as young as 6 and 10 years old collecting fares from passengers.
Why aren’t they in school?
This is child labour and it is exploiting minors!
The relevant authorities need to step in and make sure commuters are charge correctly and that the welfare of our children is protected.
