We need to read more

I WONDER why students are not taking the English language serious today.
Many of our university graduates still write and speak poor language.
I don’t think English is a difficult language to learn; all it takes is reading.
I find reading with a dictionary helps one understand words quickly.
Reading books on different subjects helps broaden our understanding and knowledge of issues affecting the world.
Most of our leaders don’t know how to debate well because of not enough reading.
If we want this country to be prosperous, let’s start by reading like our lives depend on it.
In fact, lives do depend on reading.
