Envoy pledges continued support

Chinese Ambassador Zeng Fanhua has pledged China’s continued support in facilitating equipment for the new Enga hospital.
Zeng made this known during the opening of the hospital in Wabag on Monday when he handed over the hospital key to Prime Minister James Marape.
He said this project was one of the biggest ever donated to the people by China through the loan scheme of Exim Bank of China.
Zeng said the project was first initiated in 2009 and seeing its completion in 2022, was a milestone achievement.
He added: “This is not the end but is a new beginning for the continued support the Chinese government will provide.”
He also said the China – PNG link was now looking forward to socio-economic development and such projects would support that.
This allowed twhe people of PNG, Highlands and Enga to have money in their pockets.
“This is a result of both the Chinese and PNG government working together hard,” Zeng said.
He also stated that Papua New Guinea and Chinese government have a long history in providing quality health care and this was one of those combats.
He said: “During the pandemic, the Chinese government and PNG have combatted it together and will continue to provide quality health care to the people of Enga, the Highlands Region and Papua New Guinea.”
