PETER Botten is not the only senior executive who is leaving Oil Search at the end of this month.
Two other executives will also be leaving the petroleum company, a spokesperson confirmed following queries from The National last week.
Dale Rollins, who is understood to have joined Oil Search last July, has left the company as executive vice-president PNG Business Unit.
Ian Munro, executive vice-president portfolio management, gas and marketing will be leaving at the end of the month.
“We can confirm that Dale Rollins has recently left the company,” the spokesperson told The National.
“His vacated role of executive vice president (EVP) and president PNG has been filled by Beth White, who was previously our EVP for development.”
“We can also confirm that Ian Munro will shortly depart the company at the end of February.”
Munro joined Oil Search in August 2013 to drive the company’s gas business and deliver opportunities for gas commercialisation.
His career spans more than 25 years in the oil and gas industry, including senior technical and commercial roles at ExxonMobil and Woodside Petroleum.
Meanwhile, according to reports, Botten will formally hand over to Keiran Wulff on Feb 25 after releasing the company’s full-year result.
Botten was appointed managing director in October 1994, having previously filled both exploration and general manager roles in the company since joining in 1992.
He has extensive worldwide experience in the oil and gas business, previously holding various senior technical and managerial positions in a number of listed and government owned organisations.
Wulff has more than 30 years experience in international oil and gas industry and originally joined Oil Search in 1993 and left in 2008.
