Exxon continues support for cancer fight

EXXONMOBIL Papua New Guinea has continued in the fight against cancer with its third consecutive year of support for the PNG
Cancer Foundation’s Healthy Teens school programme in the National Capital District and Central.
Through their support, the PNG Cancer Foundation (PNGCF) reached more than 2,000 students in six schools across NCD and Central last year and aimed to reach another 3,000 students this year.
ExxonMobil PNG gave K200,000 to support the foundation’s Healthy Teens school programme which started in March.
The partnership completed this year’s schedule for its Healthy eens school programme on Monday and Tuesday at the Papa and Lea Lea primary schools outside Port Moresby.
PNGCF executive manager Priscillar Napoleon said the programme targeted teenage boys and girls with the aim of informing them on how to protect themselves from cancer causing activities, practices, foods and what to do to reduce the risk of developing the disease.
She thanked ExxonMobil PNG and also acknowledged the support of partners Colgate-Palmolive, Remington Group, JM Ocean Avenue, Oil Search, Moore Printing, US Embassy and AirSwift.
