Family units foster peace

LAE Calvary Lutheran Church pastor Rev Ba’afekec Bamiringnuc says family units are the basic foundation that holds society.
He said there were increasing cases of divorce which were tearing the family unit apart.
Bamiringnuc read from the scripture in Mark 10: 2-16 teaching about divorce.
“God as the source of creation designed the concept of marriage perfectly with a purpose for men and women to remain united, love each other, bear children and replenish,” he said.
Bamiringnuc said this during the installation service of new executives for Calvary parish to serve for the next two years.
He said that one had to have a steady family background through Jesus Christ in order to become a leader in any church and social organisation. Calvary is part of 14 Lae City circuits under Jabem District.
