DAIRY products such as butter will be developed after the launching of the country’s first locally produced milk from the Ilimo Dairy Farm, an official says.
Innovative Agro Industries business development manager Gallit Tamir told The National that development of other dairy products and the progressive expansion to other centres had been planned for a while.
“The public who tried the samples are eagerly asking when they can buy it,” Tamir said.
“That will be very soon as we are at full production now.
“We want people to know the product first before they buy it.
“That’s why the samples are here for the public to try their very own milk through this soft launch.
“There are more products that are going to come later such as flavoured milk and yogurt.
“Ilimo Milk is just the start of many dairy products.
“We have a separator machine and later on we will be producing butter and also ice cream.”
