Fellow citizens still primitive

Letters

THE front page photo (The National, Monday, Jan 27, 2020) of the young policeman killed in Enga moved me to shed tears, not because I know him, nor his friend, relative and wantok.
I shed tears because my heart is troubled and my mind is bothered when I try to visualise and understand why policeman are unnecessary gunned down while on duty call to protect and maintain peace and harmony in troubled communities in our beautiful country.
Such happening is telling the nation and the world that there are people still primitive and uncivilised no matter what form and level of education they may have acquired.
Those who cannot understand and tell the differences between; what is right and wrong, what is good and bad, what is just and unjust, what is fair and unfair, and what is Godly and ungodly are yet not civilised in their brains.
PNG is a professed Christian country and characters and behaviors of Papua New Guineans must portray this image to this nation and the world.
What has become of PNG?
God Bless Papua New Guinea.

  • It was so sad but disappointing for Papua New Guinean acting like that. PNG keeps talking about Christianity or saying christain nation but to my observation it’s not true. We are becoming the worst evil minded people on this planet now so don’t cover ourselves with the word christain, it’s not true.
