Festival receives K25,000 from brewery

THE National Kenu and Kundu Festival received a boost yesterday from SP Brewery through its South Pacific Export Lager brand.
The commitment was made when the company presented K25,000 to the festival committee as its gold sponsor.
At the presentation, South Pacific Export brand manager Miriam Lama said: “The South Pacific Export brand partners cultural show organisations that promote our cultural diversity in the country. Our commitment to the cultural festivals drives South Pacific Export Lager’s ‘Best of PNG’ campaign to promote Papua New Guinea’s cultural diversity.
“We are pleased to partner the National Kenu and Kundu Festival to work with the people of Milne Bay to promote their distinct culture.
“We are happy to be here in Alotau as this is PNG’s largest canoeing event.”
South Pacific Export Lager has supported the following cultural festivals this year – National Mask Festival, Enga Show, Gerupeng Festival, Mt Hagen Show, Motu Koita Festival, Goroka Show and the Morobe Show.
During the National Kenu and Kundu Festival, SP Brewery will promote South Pacific Export’s ‘Best of PNG’ campaign and drive its responsible consumption of alcohol message.
The festival will be staged from Friday to Sunday.
