Letters

THE time to get the bull by the horns is here.
Thumbs up to the Marape/Steven government to finally address systematic and entrenched corruption.
Those corrupt politicians, public servants and executives who wear two masks be warned that you can run but you cannot hide because your days are numbered. A day will come when your secretive dealings will be finally exposed and you will definitely be a national disgrace.
What has transpired recently in the media regarding misconduct and misappropriation of public funds by two MPs namely John Simon and Douglas Tomuriesa are just the tip of the iceberg.
Please do not repeat the past mistakes of your predecessors who professed “lip service” only to fight corruption but never executed their strategies because they were all partakers of this dreadful sin: hiding behind bureaucratic system and government red tape to plunder and rob the masses.
Wish we introduce the Islamic law of retributive justice of “eye for an eye” and public stoning where perpetrators should be publicly shamed.
The simple people of this country will forever remember this government if more corrupt politicians, businessmen/women, government executives, and public servants are exposed and punished.
