Fighters ready for Sydney show

MARKSMAN Fights Promotions is all geared up for the Jez Promotion’s No.151 Australia versus Papua New Guinea show on Aug 17 in Sydney.
The event will be at the Bonnyrigg Sports Club and will feature PNG’s own World Kickboxing Federation Muay Thai champion Jonathan Tuhu who will fight Thailand’s Phetmongkhon Phetsookpaphun in a welterweight (56.6kg) bout.
Also set to make a return to the ring is Mark Sondo, who is the principal of Marksman Promotions. The Southern Highlands native will take on an experienced Australian opponent who has fought PNG legend Stanley Nandex previously.
Tuhu, who had fought in Sydney, Thailand and Hong Kong over his career, said he was ready to take it to his Thai challenger. The show will also feature some of NSW best talent taking on PNG’s best.
Marksman Fights Promotions team manager Michael Yanda said the team had been preparing since April for the Sydney show and all his fighters particularly Tuhu and Sondo were determined to put on a good show for the Australian fans and promoters.
Sondo said he was confident every fighter would do the country proud on Aug 17.
