FinCorp visits school, donates rubbish drums

About 40 staff from FinCorp visited Wardstrip Primary School on Saturday to promote clean and healthy living to mark World Environment Day.
FinCorp also donated 100 rubbish drums and staff, including some from management, helped to clean the school area.
A representative from FinCorp said this was part of their promoting healthy schools’ programme.
Head teacher Suzzie Uri told The National this was the first time that a corporate client had taken the initiative to visit the school and clean the school premises.
“We have more than 2,000 students and 50 teachers in the school and the school is also nearby to the main road. So rubbish disposal has been a challenge,” she said.
“We have BSP and the Go Green programme, where two staffs visit the school with the green bags and we do cleanups.
“But this is the first time that a corporate group has actually come to the school with all its staff to help clean the school and give us rubbish drums.”
