Firms influencing PNG politics

Letters

TAKING back PNG and making it the richest black Christian nation begins with cleaning our own back yard first.
Any foreign-owned businesses found to be involving in PNG politics should be kicked out of this country.
I support what Prime Minister James Marape is doing right.
Marape is surrounded by some uncleansed rubbish from past government and few smart brooks and politicians but they will not hide from God’s eyes.
All corrupt and hidden deals will come out openly and be dealt with sooner or later.
The Marape-led Government is trying to save our country’s laws on resource benefits sharing and making sure people get benefits from resources.
There is law in place for interested foreign businesses to come and do projects on a joint venture partnership but we have not been following this so far.
It is the laws on benefit sharing of 51 to 49 per cent for Papua New Guineans and foreign joint venture businesses companies.
Papua New Guinean interests is 51 per cent and foreign companies joint ventures 49 per cent and the Marape-led Government is doing fine so far.
Some of these foreign-own companies have been using people to get involved in PNG politics by taking sides to form or change governments.
They should be investigated, exposed and kicked out.
PNG encouraged investors to come because that helps the development of the country but some firms are taking advantage of us too.
These greedy, selfish and money hungry companies are only here for money and their stupidity and greedy politics has ruined many of our good political leaders today.
