First-term MP doing good job

Letters

FIRST-term Member of Parliament Kinoka Feo from Unggai-Bena and his DDA are undertaking wonderful interventions to change the lives of the people.
What transpires in Unggai-Bena can send a message to people in all 89 districts in the country that MPs are fully capable of transforming their districts.
District MPs are so privileged to receive K10 million in a year and K50 million in five years.
That is a lot of money compared to MPs that were elected from 2007 and backwards.
Unggai-Bena has identified partnerships as the way forward to trigger development.
It is partnering key government institutions like Fresh Produce Development Agency and Coffee Industry Corporation to develop horticulture and coffee in the district, two key crops that can generate cash income for the people and improve their living standards.
The visionary MP is eyeing downstream processing by mobilising resources and manpower for commercial engagements, a major shift in farming practices from subsistence agriculture to commercial farming engagements.
We need MPs be innovative with realistic goals.
