Flies, Paga face off for 8th spot

A BATTLE for a top eight spot takes place on Sunday in Round 8 of the Port Moresby Rugby League when the Hohola Flies (7th) and Paga Panthers (8th) face off at the National Football Stadium.
The loser is expected to drop out of the eight but the Flies are coming off an 18-4 win over Gulf West while Paga could only manage a 14-14 draw against Dobo Warriors last round.
Flies need to concentrate on their game and not worry about the referee after engaging with the men with the whistle in previous games.
With the large number of games to be played at the venue, organisers have reduced the games to 70 minutes. Fixtures: Rd 8 – Fri, May 17: Kone Tigers v Souths; Sat, May 18: West v Storm, Brothers v Royals, Hawks v Magani; Sun, May 19: Tarangau v Warriors, Defence v Butterflies.
