Flights under conditions, says Parkop

FLIGHTS into Port Moresby from border provinces such as Western, West and East Sepik, Milne Bay and the Autonomous Region of Bougainville will be under strict conditions, National Capital District Governor Powes Parkop says.
He said his concern about flights into Port Moresby was already presented to Emergency Controller Police Comm David Manning.
Powes said he accepted the Government’s decision about allowing domestic flights but he “is super sensitive about the borders”.
“Domestic flights must be done under strict conditions generally in the rest of the country, but importantly at the border.”
Parkop said discussions would take place with each of the provincial leaders to have controls in place.
“If we can, we will only allow one flight each week from these provinces,” he said.
Meanwhile, Parkop said churches would be allowed to worship on their days of worship.
