Focus on other diseases too

THE Government should create a separate entity to deal with the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
The deadly Covid-19 (and now the Delta variant) is here to stay in our country.
It is now the Government’s duty to allocate funds on a separate basket to assist people who are affected.
Do a separate budget for Covid-19 operations and another for the Health Department.
This way, funds for the Health Department will be focused on addressing other health issues without focusing too much on the Covid-19.
At the moment, all the focus is on the Covid-19 and other diseases are not prioritised, which is worrying.
