USINO-Bundi MP Jimmy Uguro says the district plans to complete all outstanding projects before starting new ones.
Uguro, also the Education Minister, reminded the people to be active and involve themselves in activities that the district was embarking so that they were part of the changes and development in the district.
“(Do) not sit back and watch. You must also contribute to the change,” he said.
“The outstanding projects include the rural housing programme, rural electrification and road infrastructure.
“I want to see people have decent housing which we have already started.
“We also got the rural electrification programme running and will continue to support the programme,” he said.
Uguro plans to connect villages by road and establish schools where appropriate.
New projects in the next five years include economic empowerment, development of infrastructure and human resources.
He said the district had resources which the people should make use.
