ABOUT 40 new jobs will be created as five new Fone Haus shops are expected to be opened this year, says general manager Damian Ames.
The company announced this week its new brand ambassador, rugby league legend Johnathan Thurston.

The announcement was witnessed by Namba Wan Trophy Ltd (NWTL) Group managing director Jim Gui and National Capital District Governor Powes Parkop.
Ames said Thurston’s term would be for two years.

“We continue to employ over 200 staff and our focus on our people and customers is (of top) importance,” he said.
The five new shops will be at Port Moresby’s Vision City and Range View, Kokopo, Mt Hagen and Madang.

“Customers can try all of the popular Mintt and Samsung phones, there are a lot of new and cool gadgets that other shops don’t sell,” Ames said.
“During the last 16 months, Fone Haus has continued to expand and invest into the future of Papua New Guinea.”
“We have opened new shops and now we are really excited to announce Jonathan Thurston as our brand ambassador.
“By continuing to offer the PNG people trusted brands and products, that are 100 per cent genuine and backed by a full warranty, people can purchase the latest mobile phone or gadget and know that it will work.

“With Thurston now part of our team, we will continue our work in the community, focus on our school programme, medical assistance, and community projects.
“We hope that JT will be able to visit PNG soon and visit a lot of schools and communities to continue our community initiatives.”
