THE Forensic Science Office at Gordon in Port Moresby and in other provinces, opened as of Monday for police clearance applicants to collect their completed forms according to police.
Forensic Science Chief Supt Philip Rambaliku told The National that the office would be re-open with social distancing and other health and safety measures to be enforced.
“As per instructions from the State of Emergency (SOE) Controller and Police Commissioner David Manning for the public servants to return to work, the officers from my directorate at the Forensic Science office at Gordon will also be going to work starting on Monday (this week),” he said,
“I have advised my officers to attend to less people so whoever comes first will be served first.”
Chief Supt Rambaliku said there would be no new lodgments of police clearances until the situation in the country was back to normal.
However, he said his directorate understood that one of the requirements when applying for a job or to going for studies was police clearance and his office would do its best to address these needs.
