Former PM needs to be back

Letters

SO the prime minister will finally reveal all the illegalities in the UBS loan saga.
Why did he wait until he became prime minister?
His public declaration in the dailies is a joke that insults the intelligence of ordinary Papua New Guineans.
Does he think we will believe he is innocent even if the inquiry clears him of any wrong doing?
Whatever he utters in the inquiry will be compromised and guarded to protect his position of power.
If he wanted to be a ‘people first leader’, he should have stood up and used his position of trust as Finance Minister to save the nation from losing K3 billion.
That would have been a heroic deed.
The country would have acknowledged his true Christian values there and then.
As it is his little stunt and rhetoric in the media today about revealing all will not fool ordinary Papua New Guineans.
The last government created a feeling of anticipation and expectation in all corners of the country.
There was a positive vibe about the government.
Every corner of the country knew they would be visited by the prime minister at some stage to deliver projects.
There was anticipation that something good would happen.
The dailies were filled with reports of service delivery and infrastructure development in all parts of the country.
The current government has not given any reason for the people of this country to anticipate any form of development in their parts of the country.
After more than eight months this government just keeps on peddling rhetoric relentlessly.
The people are now wishing 2022 could not come any sooner.
The former prime minister needs to be back in the driver’s seat.

  • “…..The former prime minister needs to be back in the driver’s seat….”

OR BETTER STILL TO PRESENT AND CLEAR HIMSELF OF ALL ALLEGATIONS SURROUNDING THE UBS LOAN AT THE COMMISSION OF INQUIRY.

  • You’re kidding me about the former prime minister to be in driver’s seat….I personally don’t see any good reason because of he’s hard headed altitude. He can’t compromised and submit, He thinks he’s right in everything he does but HE’S NOT….No way near….so I prefer you choose someone else.

  • Former prime minister is not wise enough to be in the driver’s seat. Running a country is not a business where you get loans and repay. You are dealing with lives of every single citizen of this country. People are getting more poorer during your term(PO). We see infrastructure development but there’s no human resource development, none at all. Please get out we don’t need your brain in the house. Let PMJM rule. SME helped us alot.
