Foundation presents babywear to rural clinic

ONE of Papua New Guinea Tribal Foundation staff brought some baby knitwear for rural Kaintiba, Gulf, during the Christmas holidays.
According to the foundation, staff brought two bags of baby warmers and delivered them to the Kaintiba Rural Health Centre.
Lilian Kivung, a long-serving nurse, expressed her gratitude.
Kivung said: “I did not expect such a warm present for our health centre. I thank the PNG Tribal Foundation for thinking of our babies. Sometimes the weather here is not friendly to our babies and these warmers will keep them comfortable.
“Mothers often wrap their babies in tapa clothes which is very hard and is not good for the baby’s skin or they use rags to wrap their babies because there is no proper baby clothing. This is a huge help for our mothers.”
The foundation delivered 159 pieces of baby blankets, hats, socks and other clothes to the centre.
